Oh how my little family loves the beach.
We really, really do.
It was so nice to just get away for a few days and relax!
Myrtle Beach is usually a very crowded beach, but we were lucky to be there on an odd weekend before tourist season really picks up.
We had a great time on Monday just playing in the sun... well, they played. I read a book.
For dinner we found this seafood buffet.
I am usually not a fan of either of those things - seafood or buffet, but this place was so much fun and the food was good.
After we ate there was plenty of things to see there - ships, fish, and other fun things.
There is a big play area for kids that my girls (and Josh) really enjoyed.
The next morning we woke up to clouds. I was disappointed ,but Alyse was excited to go try out the indoor/outdoor pool. She loved the little walkway that connected the pool from inside to outside.
After a nap, we headed over to Broadway at the Beach.
We had some Johnny Rockets (my girls loved dancing with the wait staff) and then decided to play a round of putt putt golf. It was Alyse's 1st time playing and she loved it.
Breeley did a great job watching all 18 holes.
Josh was very proud of his hole in 1.
Alyse really liked it when we all hit the ball at the same time.... (that didn't always work out the best, but it made her happy.)
I cracked up watching her because she kept doing this Micheal Jordan sticking out her tongue thing.
After our game, we walked around to a few stores but then went back to our hotel because it started to storm.
The next morning, we took a short walk on the beach and let the girls play for a little bit before we packed up to go home.
(Alyse writing her name in the sand.)
It was a fabulous little family vacation.
We had a ton of fun, but it went by way too fast.
Now I can't wait for another beach trip!
