Ruffled Toes

Found in the bottom of my shoe closet:

Very worn out black ballet slippers that look really rough with a small hole by the toe.  I kept them cause they are really comfy. 

When I was cleaning out my shoe closet last week I almost threw them away, but then I had an idea.

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought some ruffled trim from the fabric department for $1.99.
I pulled out some scissors and a hot glue gun.
After just a few minutes (and a burn on my thumb...) I had turned those old shoes into this.

I'm kinda loving them.
