2 years ago, when Alyse was 2 and Breeley was in my belly, Josh planned a trip for us to go on the Polar Express. This weekend he decided to plan another one. So we got our 2 girls dressed in their Santa jammies and took off for the mountains.
When we got there Alyse started to remember her trip from a few years ago. (She actually has a great memory and from the way she described things I know that she really must remember it.)
We went to the depot and waited for a little while.
Then it was time to wait for our train.
We loaded up.
Found our seats and got ready for a fun ride to go see Santa.
Alyse volunteered herself to dance in the aisles.
Her sister watched and clapped along with the singing.
Then it was time for some hot chocolate and cookies.
Then the conductor came to stamp their tickets.
Both of my girls really enjoyed the trip and looking out the window.
Soon it was time to read along with the book. (I brought Alyse's from our last trip.)
Before we knew it, we had arrived at the "North Pole".
As we waited for Santa to come see us and bring us a bell, we sang a few more songs.
Then Santa came to see us.
Alyse was happy.
Breeley was not.
It was a fun little train ride.
Afterwards we checked out a few sites and took a few more pictures.
We got home very late, but our trip to the mountains was lots of fun.
