Daddy's Princess

Alyse has always been a Daddy's Girl!

Always!

But lately it seems that she has become even more attached to Josh.

I tell Josh all the time that she likes him better than she likes me.

He doesn't argue the fact. He just smiles and says "I know."

Lately she has started to call him "The handsome prince".

It makes me smile.

He calls her his princess all the time, so now everything that belongs to her is "the princess's". For example: She sleeps in the princess bed. She wears her princess dresses. Her seat at the table is the princess seat....

Josh tells her all the time that princesses don't fuss. So now when she is getting fussy when I remind her to be sweet, she usually looks at me and says "Princesses aren't fussy. Princesses are sweet."

Also, Josh came home with this story from swimming class the other night:
(He takes her every Wednesday, usually by himself and then they go get dinner.)

I guess he was putting on his shoes and had Alyse sitting on this little counter area where people put their bags, towels, keys, etc. There is a bulletin board behind it and there are pictures on it. Josh said that another little girl from her class was pointing at it and kept saying "Daddy. It's Daddy". He said that Alyse was watching her for awhile and then the other little girl started looking at Josh and again said something about her daddy.

Alyse decided to set her straight, grabbed Josh's arm and said "NO! MY DADDY!"
Ha! Don't come between Alyse and her handsome prince!

(Hope she realizes that she is going to have to share her daddy in a few short months.)
